In the township the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 15.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 2.98.

20.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 593 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.6% were married couples living together, 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% were non-families. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.26% of the population. The racial makeup of the township was 99.16% White, 0.06% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.06% from other races, and 0.32% from two or more races. There were 671 housing units at an average density of 18.2/sq mi (7.0/km²). The population density was 41.9 people per square mile (16.2/km²).
